Hyperlinks Don't Work in Portfolio WorkApps?

Is it just me, or do hyperlinks not work if you are in a Portfolio WorkApp? Referring to hyperlinks where you are linking to another Smartsheet sheet or report, etc..

They work for me… we expose the link to the project dashboard in our executive dashboard, which is in the portfolio workapp on the main page. Those links work, I tried it just now.

@Brian_Richardsonwhat about links that are in sheets? Not in/on a dashboard

Hi yes links on a sheet work in Workapps for me. The first screen below shows links on a sheet that’s open in Workapps. When I click them, it opens the destination directly..shown in second screen. This is on mobile too…I know it works on desktop as well.

@Brian_Richardsonso that's a sheet link from a report, I'm referring to an actual hyperlink you create - like below. These are the only types of links I am having issues with. Sorry, I should have been more clear!

Aaaah, ok I'm with you now. And this is very interesting. I'm seeing issues too.

After doing a bunch of testing it appears that the issue is hyperlinks created to Smartsheet Content. Those disappear when viewing in Workapps. However, hyperlinks created to URLs work fine in Workapps.

It's all Workapps, not just Portfolio Workapps, that have this issue. I never noticed it before!

Sucks - we use the Smartsheet Content hyperlinks all the time with Control Center, CC will change them to point to the correct new copies of templates. However CC will not change URL hyperlinks.

First screen is a sheet of hyperlinks viewed directly in Smartsheet. Second screen is the same sheet viewed in a Workapp.

    • The Instructions is a URL link to a Google Site.
    • The Workapp Link is a cell-linked hyperlink, brought in from a sheet of profile data, where the profile data has a URL hyperlink pointing to the project's workapp.
    • The EIT Status Rules is a URL link to a published sheet.

@Brian_RichardsonOkay thank you for confirming! That's what I'm seeing too. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't a glitch on my end. Going to have to submit this enhancement request

Hi @Sachiko Kagami,

The WORKDAY function is what you're after here.

https://help.smartsheet.com/function/workday

In your case, I think the following should work:

=COUNTIFS({Customer Escalation Region}, $Region@row, {Customer Escalation Request Reason}, "Close Gap", {Customer Escalation Request Date}, WORKDAY(TODAY(),-1)

This will do the check for yesterday, skipping weekends. Public holidays aren't automatically in there, but you can add these as per the link.

Hope this helps - if there are any issues then just post! 😊

https://community.smartsheet.com/api/v2/discussions?page=2&categoryID=341&includeChildCategories=1&type%5B0%5D=Question&excludeHiddenCategories=1&sort=-hot&limit=3&expand%5B0%5D=all&expand%5B1%5D=-body&expand%5B2%5D=insertUser&expand%5B3%5D=lastUser&status=accepted
">
