Text Wrapping is not working.

Hi,

I've created a new sheet and a form, I've applied text wrap to the columns that might need it and I've tested certain cells, inputting more text than the cell than would be visible. I've clicked an unclicked the text wrap button on the menu... nothing is happening. I've saved and refreshed the sheet...still no text wrap.

Can you help? I've also tried adding in Ctrl+enter to add a new line of text. Does nothing.

  • On the column that you are trying to wrap text what I usually do is click on the title of the row (selects the whole column) then clicking the wrap button on top.

    Hi Katjie,

    I am not sure if you are testing this with dummy text such as, erhgrkjhsfgsfdgjkhsgkljhdgsfdljvfdkjvnfdvkjdfkjdvfdjvk. That is what I did and it didnt work. When I put in real sentences, the text wrapping worked.

    After months of this working fine, suddenly all my forms no longer wrap... did something change?

  • I am also experiencing this issue. I'm using a basic timeline and the "comments" column will not wrap. I have the option selected for the entire column

    Hi,

    It seems like you have a divider, and the text is continuing further to the right in the left section.

    Was that the reason?

  • I continue to experience this issue, too. I created a form and when I enter the questions in the "Field Settings" everything looks good, but when I view the published form, words are broken across lines incorrectly. I have selected all and deselected/selected "wrap text" but this did not resolve the issue.

    This is expected when the value in the cell is a URL.

    URLs are one long string (like one long word) so the cell won't be able to "wrap" it since there are no breaks in the line. You could add text before or after the URL which will be wrapped, but the URL itself won't be able to be broken up and still be a clickable link.

Is it set to allow for multiple selections? If so, reports cannot group by that. It depends on your automation settings. If you set it to unrestricted, you can send to an email address in a cell without giving them access to the sheet. The items listed on the left hand side are the actions<\/em> that trigger<\/strong> the workflow. Then the boxes indicate where you want those notifications to be displayed. Messaging Apps<\/strong> is associated with Teams. <\/p>

There are 2 ways to receive alerts in Teams: through the Smartsheet Bot (direct notifications) or to a Channel (defined in a workflow). <\/p>

If your users don't want to receive other notifications in Teams, they can uninstall the Smartsheet Bot, see: Microsoft Teams Integration: Uninstall the Smartsheet Bot<\/a><\/p>

In your workflow you've chosen a channel, <\/em>so even if they have the Bot uninstalled, they should still receive your message in the channel as it's not a direct message specifically to them. Does that make sense? <\/p>
