Hello,

Is the email notification through the automation criteria only available to recipients with Smartsheet accounts or to anyone whose email address was entered in the recipient field?

    Hi,


    You can send notifications to any valid email address. If you're planning to send alerts or reminders with a link to the sheet, the user will not be able to click the link and access it if they do not have a Smartsheet account and not shared to the sheet.

    I do have one more question. If I included a "published" link that allows access to anyone in the link in the email notification, can someone without Smartsheet access this link thru the email?

I understand. Unfortunately, there is no other option that I see. One thing to make it easier for you to add the name is to have a helper column in the source sheet with a formula to identify duplicates.
