Card view gives you quick and actionable insight into the status of work across all your projects by visualizing tasks as cards that can be dragged and dropped across lanes.

Now, with card view in reports, you can combine your project sheets into one report, then view in card view to quickly answer questions like:

  • Which tasks are high priority across projects?
  • How many issues are in the Implementation stage?
  • Which designer has the most requests?

If you use card view in sheets, you are already familiar with viewing information in cards. Card view in reports works similarly.

    事情要知道卡片视图报告:

    • If a report has more than 2,500 rows, it will not display in card view.
    • Card view works with row reports only. It is not compatible with sheet summary reports.
    • The hierarchical relationship between parent and child tasks (subtasks) will not be visually represented in Card view.
    • Reports cannot be displayed in card view when viewed in the following areas:
      • Dashboard report widget
      • Dynamic View
      • WorkApps
      • Mobile app

    Move a card

Cards appear in the same order as in the grid view for your report by default when you first open a report in Card View.

    • To move a card between lanes, drag it from one lane to another.

When you move a card between lanes, the field value changes to reflect the value of the lane into which you moved the card. For example, if you move a card from a lane namedClient Summaryto one namedPending Sale, the field value forStatewill change fromClient SummarytoPending Sale. You’ll see the state change if you open the card to edit it or if you switch to grid view, where the cell in theStatecolumn will showPending Sale.

    • To move a card within a lane, drag it up or down within the lane.

When you move a card within a lane, you will change the ranking of the card. For example, moving the card up higher within a lane will have higher priority than the cards below it. To lower a card’s priority, drag it lower within the lane.

Moving a card up or down within a lane won’t affect its content. The change will only affect the card’s ranking (or ordering) in card view. Moving the card does not affect row order in the report’s grid view or the source sheet(s).

You can rank cards independently in each lane. For example, you can rank cards inView by Statusand then switch to View by Assignee and rank cards separately. The rank is stored for eachView Bybreakout and appears for all report viewers.

    Edit a card

    1. Double-click on the card you want to update.
    2. Make your updates and selectSave. Refresh the report to see the change displayed.
    • SelectCancelto close the card without saving any changes.

    Notes:

    • Changes made to a card in your report will update the underlying sheet.
    • A card’s task color is inherited from the sheet. You cannot change the color in the report.
