Information for Free Collaborators

Have you been shared to a sheet in Smartsheet for the first time? Collaborating with others in Smartsheet is free, easy, and secure. Just click the link contained in the sharing notification you received to create a Smartsheet password. You'll then be directed right to the sheet.

Smartsheet looks like a spreadsheet, but has additional features to help people work together—attached files,discussions,date reminders, andnotificationsof changes to the sheet.

Sheets may be shared to you as Viewer, Editor, or Admin. To learn more about these different permission levels, please review our Help Centerarticle on sharing.

To check your permissions for a Smartsheet item (a sheet, report, or dashboard), click theSharebutton at the top of the item.

If you enjoy using Smartsheet and would like to use it to manage your own work, you can start afree 30 day trialby creating a new sheet. To create a new sheet, click theSolution Center(plus) icon from the left panel.
